The World of Rendil
The god of spring, beauty, and the arts, Corellon is the patron of arcane magic and the fey. He seeded the world with arcane magic and planted the most ancient forests. Artists and musicians worship him, as do those who view their spellcasting as an art, and his shrines can be found throughout the Feywild and even the natural world. He urges his followers thus:
- Cultivate beauty in all that you do, whether you’re casting a spell, composing a sage, strumming a lute, or practicing the arts of war.
- Seek out lost magic items, forgotten riturals, and ancient works of art. Corellon might have inspired them in the world’s earliest days.
- Interfere not in the battles of the twin sisters, Lolth and Sehanine. They both struggle for Corellon’s favor and the faithful must not meddle in their schemes.
Corellon has choosen two consorts: the sisters Lolth and Sehanine. The twin sisters are bitter rivals, constantly vying his attention, and he delights in their competition. All the elven races are the children of Corellon. The drow were born from his union with Lolth while the elves were born from Sehanine. During his battle with Gruumsh at the shaping of the world, the eladrin were born of Corellon’s spilled blood. They are his children alone.
Corellon’s church welcomes elven peoples of all type, though its faithful turn their noses to the Dusk Elves of Salenth. While most of his followers are eladrin, the church still hosts a minority of drow and elves. The church of Corellon has been extremely ambitous as of late, with designs to draw in even non-elven races.
